Sloka 36 from Dancing with Siva
What Are the Four Stages on the Path?
The path of enlightenment is divided naturally into four stages: charya, virtue and selfless service; kriya, worshipful sadhanas; yoga, meditation under a guru's guidance; and jnana, the wisdom state of the realized soul. Aum.

Bhashya
Charya, kriya, yoga and jnana are the sequence of the soul's evolutionary process, much like the natural development of a butterfly from egg to caterpillar, from caterpillar to pupa, and then the final metamorphosis to butterfly. These are four padas, or stages, through which each human soul must pass in many births to attain its final goal. Before entering these spiritual stages, the soul is immersed in the lower nature, the anava marga, or self-centered path, bound in fear and lust, hurtful rage, jealousy, confusion, selfishness, consciencelessness and malice. Then it awakens into charya, unselfish religious service, or karma yoga. Once matured in charya, it enters kriya, devotion or bhakti yoga, and finally blossoms into kundalini yoga. Jnana is the state of enlightened wisdom reached toward the path's end as a result of Self Realization. The four padas are not alternative ways, but progressive, cumulative phases of a one path, San Marga. The Tirumantiram says, "Being the Life of life is splendrous jnana worship. Beholding the Light of life is great yoga worship. Giving life by invocation is external worship. Expressing adoration is charya." Aum Namah Sivaya.

Ramana Hridayam THE STORY OF THE YOGI IN MANOLAYA

THE STORY OF THE YOGI IN MANOLAYA

Sri Bhagavan then told the following story:
A Yogi was doing penance (tapas) for a number of years on the banks of the Ganges. When he had attained a high degree of concentration, he believed that continuance in that stage for prolonged periods constituted salvation and practised it.

One day, before going into deep concentration, he felt thirsty and called to his disciple to bring a little drinking water from the Ganges; but before the disciple arrived with the water, he had gone into samadhi and remained in that state for countless years, during which time much water flowed under the bridge.

When he woke up from this experience the first thing he asked for was ‘water! water!’; but there was neither his disciple nor the Ganges in sight.

The first thing which he asked for was water because, before going into deep concentration, the topmost layer of thought in his mind was water and by concentration, however deep and prolonged it might have been, he had only been able to temporarily lull his thoughts and when, therefore, he revoked consciousness this topmost thought flew up with all the speed and force of a flood breaking through the dykes. If this is the case with regard to a thought which took shape immediately before he sat for meditation, there is no doubt that thoughts which have taken deeper root earlier will still remain unannihilated; if annihilation of thoughts is salvation can he be said to have attained salvation?
Sadhakas (seekers) rarely understand the difference between this temporary stilling of the mind (manolaya) and permanent destruction of thoughts (manonasa).

PANCHANG

Bhagavad Gita Kannada - “ಸಂಕಲ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಕಲ್ಪ ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಕರ್ಮಗಳು” .

LOVE ALL - SERVE ALL

LOVE ALL - SERVE ALL

There is only one caste, the caste of Humanity. There is only one religion, the religion of Love. There is only one language, the language of the Heart. There is only one God, He is Omnipresent.

You are not one, but three. The one you think you are - the body. The one others think you are - the mind. The one you really are - the soul.

Love in speech is Sathya (truth)Love in action is Dharma (righteousness)Love in feeling is Shanti (peace)Love in understanding is Ahimsa (non-violence).

Where there is Confidence, there is Love.Where there is Love, there is Peace.Where there is Peace, there is Truth.Where there is Truth, there is Bliss.Where there is Bliss, there is God.

Stars are many, the sky is one.Jewels are many, the gold is one.Nations are many, the earth is one.Beings are many, the breath is one.

Start the day with Love,Fill the day with Love,Spend the day with Love,End the day with Love. This is the way to God.

The end of education is Character. The end of knowledge is Love. The end of culture is perfection. The end of wisdom is freedom.

Politics without principles,Education without character,Science without humanity and Commerce without morality are not only useless, but positively dangerous.

Follow the Master (conscience)Face the Devil (the evil propensities)Fight to the End (Fight the evil propensities)Finish the Game (Attain Realisation)

Life is a challenge, meet it!Life is a dream, realize it!Life is a game, play it!Life is Love, enjoy it!

Bear all and do nothing;Hear all and say nothing;Give all and take nothing;Serve all and be nothing.

If there is righteousness in the heart,There will be beauty in the character. If there is beauty in the character,There will be harmony in the home. When there is harmony in the home,There will be order in the nation. When there is order in the nation,There will be peace in the world.

Be Good, See Good, Do GoodThis is the way to God.
Love is God. God is Love. Live in Love.

The word asur is derived from ‘असुषु रमन्ते इति असुर: |’, meaning ‘the one who remains engrossed only in enjoying life and in the indulgence of pleasure of the objects is an asur (demon)’. Such a Mahishasur is present in each human heart. And he has taken control over internal Divine qualities of the human being. It is necessary to perform pūjā of Shakti to become free from the trap of Mahishasur, by realising the illusory form of this Mahishasur. Therefore, Shakti should be worshipped in the nine days of Navarātra .

Personality defects are the main obstacle in obtaining/experiencing happiness or contentment in one’s life.
In order to lead a happy life to have grace of God for our spiritual Growth , it is essential that the Mahishasur (personality defects) in an individual are destroyed and qualities are imbibed or developed .
One of the advantages of working on Personality defects is our spiritual growth. When we proactively work at reducing our defects, we close the window of opportunity that” Mahishasur “ have in taking control over us.

Along with worshipping Shakti, what efforts one can take for removal of Mahishasurs(defects) in our mind and heart, visit us at

      • Kali is one of the best known, but poorly understood forms of the Goddess. She is dark destructive and terrible in image. She is allied to the forces of death and destruction. The most common image of Kali shows her dancing on Shiva. This article aims to give an insight into Hinduism\’s use of such mystic imagery.

        Shiva & Shakti

Within Hinduism, the divine is not restricted solely as masculine or feminine, which is a unique feature compared with other major religions of today. The divine is not referred to only as \’He\’. In the Shaivite tradition, the supreme divine reality is represented as Shiva-Shakti. Shiva is the masculine force, the power of peace, while Shakti translates to power, and is considered as the feminine force. In the Vaishnava tradition, these realities are portrayed as Vishnu and Laxmi, or Radha and Krishna. These are differences in formulation rather than a fundamental difference in the principles.

Both Shiva and Shakti have various forms. Shiva has forms like Yogi Raj (the common image of Himself meditating in the Himalayas), Rudra (a wrathful form) and Nataraj (performing the dance of destruction).

        About Kali

The Sanskrit word Kali literally means \”time\”. Kali is the feminine word for time, for which the masculine is \”kala\”. Time as we are forced to understand it, is the foremost power that we experience. Kali is the personification of time and it is not surprising that the deity of time has a terrifying image. After all, time is the slayer of all. Time is the very stuff that our lives are made of – to waste time is to waste life. The reason as to why time is represented in a feminine form is that time is the great womb – the great mother – from which we are all created – therefore it has a feminine quality. Time is also the force which causes all living beings to perish. Therefore Kali is like the mother who destroys the children which she has created – which is one of her frightful features. Yet, through the action of time, Her action, occurs our salvation. Through time, over repeated births, we experience all that we have to and learn all that we must learn in order to merge back into our eternal existence, from which we fell into limited time and space.

Why Is She Dancing On Shiva?

Shiva, in the Shaivite tradition, is the all pervading eternal primeval consciousness of the universe and beyond, who is beyond motivation. Hence, He is commonly shown as meditating in tranquil. His action and motivation occur only prior to the final destruction and dissolution of this cycle of creation. Hence, when Shiva dances, it is considered to be the terrible awesome dance of destruction.

It is on the passive, ultimate reality of Shiva, that Kali (time) does her dance, causing the constant cycles of creation, life and death of all things in the universe. Shiva is the> READ MORE @ http://www.hinduhumanrights.info/understanding-goddess-ma-kali/

When man listens, God speaks. When man empties himself, God fills his entire being. When God enters man and fills man’s entire being, man is no more man but becomes the Light Itself. For when this happens, man arises from dualities and emerges into Reality - consciousness. Man arises from the darkness of the slumber of a self-forgetting ignorance into the dazzling light of awakening, into the fullest knowledge-awareness of one’s real essential nature, which is Divine.

When this happens, death becomes a myth to man. Death becomes a non-existent non-entity, conjured up in the imagination of the mind, but having nothing to do with the Atman that is the reality of man. When it is said that the Atman is the reality of man, this is not said in the third person, impersonally. It means that that eternal, imperishable, indestructible Divinity is your reality. I am not addressing hypothetical, academic theoretical man. These words are being said to you who are present here.

Thus, when God fills your being, you awake and arise into the awareness of the stupendous and wonderful fact that death has no meaning—it is a zero, a cipher—for you are beyond death, being unborn. Only one that is unborn can be beyond death, ever liberated from so-called death. For it is declared that for the born death is certain. But the same Divine Teacher who said this also says, “Thou art the unborn, eternal, permanent Spirit, beyond time, ancient. Nothing changes if this body is killed. You are That which nothing can affect or alter, what to say of destroy.”

Thus when you awaken into this awareness and death becomes to you a meaningless myth, then and then alone you are truly yourself. Then and then alone you live in reality, you live in the light of the great truth of your divinity.

May, therefore, this sacred nine-day period when we have been contemplating and pondering the great mysteries of this universe and beyond—the transcendental mysteries of the Cosmic Being and the primal Cosmic Power or Divine Mother—when the mind has been elevated to a higher level of thinking and understanding, a higher level of awareness, may this indeed be the time, this indeed be the hour and moment, when taking advantage of the rising wave of consciousness in the presence of the Divine Mother, your spirit becomes elevated and soars into a higher level and dimension of a greater and truer awareness. Let it be so!

What Is Lord Ganesha's Special Duty?
As Lord of Obstacles, Ganesha wields the noose and the goad, icons of His benevolent power of preventing or permitting events to happen in our life. Thus, we invoke His grace and wisdom before any worship or task. Aum.

    Bhashya
Lord Ganesha, the God of time and memory, strategically seated on the muladhara chakra, poised between the higher and lower chakras, stabilizes all sentient beings. He holds the architect's plans of the divine masterpiece of universal past and future. Only good comes from Lord Ganesha, who by taking the form of an elephant distinguishes Himself from other Gods. The charya pada begins with His worship. He staves off misfortune for those who perform penance in His name. He guides our karma from within us through the timing of events. Before any important undertaking, we supplicate Him to clear obstacles from the path, if it be His will. This Lord of Obstacles prevents us from hurting ourselves through living under an incomplete concept or making a request unneeded or beginning an endeavor not well thought out. Before we petition Him, He expects us to use all of our faculties to arrive at the decision He would have made. The Agamas declare, "These Lords who, it is said, on the pure path, attend to the various duties deriving from a higher realm of maya are at the prow of the effects of the higher realm of maya." Aum Namah Sivaya.
